The list

The car is in very good shape for its age, but a little rough around the edges.

Just under 100,000 miles on a twenty-year-old car is low, and it shows.
The bones are good.

I drive very little these days, aside from trips to Colorado to settle my father's estate.
That leaves time to fix the car up slowly.

So I am making a list.

The list starts with the things that keep the car safe and reliable.
Then the things that keep it comfortable.
Then, last, the things that just make it nicer.

There is no rush.
The aim is to do each job once, and do it right.

I will write up what I find and what I learn as I go.

Sister cars

There is a sedan version of basically the same car in the same years — the Dodge Charger — with a sedan body rather than a wagon.

The two share the same platform.
Many of the parts are the same.
Many of the problems are the same.

So an owner of a Charger and an owner of a Magnum often have the same questions.

The Chrysler 300 of those years sits on the same platform too, though it is a little more removed.

The aim of this weblog is to share experience with other folk who own similar cars.
That includes the Magnum, the Charger, and anyone else who finds the notes useful.

If you have one of these cars, and you have a question or a story, I would like to hear it.
